Volunteer for CVYSC
Conestoga Valley Youth Soccer club is growing in leaps and bounds and it owes its success to one thing—volunteers. As of January 1, 2002 the Board of Directors of the CVYSC has changed the way we solicit volunteers for our organization.

As of January 1, 2002 the Conestoga Valley Youth Soccer Club is requiring all families who have children participating in soccer with the club to contribute a minimum of five (5) hours of volunteer time for each season. There are a number of ways that these hours can be worked. For instance, you could serve on the board of the club and meet the commitment easily. In this position not only would you be helping out the club, you would also have impact on the direction of the club as a whole. Another way to meet the volunteer requirements is to commit to coach or be an assistant coach. You could be a team mom or dad or choose one of the many other opportunities also available. The positions are listed below.

The 3v3 Super Soccer Shootout is going to be sponsored by a corporate partner in conjunction with Clear Channel Communications and promises to double in size this year. We will need many volunteers for the tournament in May. You can satisfy the five (5) hour commitment simply by agreeing to work a single shift on one day at one of the tournament. You can ask many of the volunteers from last year's tournament; this is an easy alternative for families. Or you can work one of the other volunteer options.

Volunteers are an essential part of any non-profit organization. We need your help. Whether or not it is one of the options listed above or one of the potential opportunities listed on the back of this page, we need your help. By working together the club will not only survive but it will prosper. When you come to Fall Registration in April you will be asked to commit to the method of volunteering you wish to choose for the spring season. This is going to be a requirement for any family turning in a player application. Regardless of how many children you have playing, your family commitment is only five (5) hours. If you have special considerations that need to be presented, please contact us or see us at registration.

We thank you for your understanding with this issue and as always we know the club will come through in this time of need. If you have any questions about our new policy, please submit a comment to us.
