Where is Conestoga Valley?
Conestoga Valley School District, in central Lancaster
County, Pennsylvania, is comprised of East Lampeter, Upper Leacock and
West Earl Townships. The population of the area is approximately 30,000
residents.
History of Conestoga Valley
Youth Soccer Club
The Conestoga Valley Youth
Soccer Club (CVYSC) was formed in 1980 to instill a love
of the game of soccer among all youth residing in the Conestoga
Valley School District and to provide them with an opportunity
to experience organized soccer.
The CVYSC is a 501(c)3
non-profit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue
Service. An Executive Board and Board of Directors who
make decisions concerning the club govern the CVYSC. All
positions within the club are voluntary in nature and over
the years have been manned by individuals across the community
spectrum.
Beginning with only 65 players in its first
year, the CVYSC has grown to be one of the largest youth
sports organizations in the Conestoga Valley School District
with over 600 boys and girls competing in fall soccer play
and 500 players during spring play. Growth of the club as
well as anticipated growth can be depicted as shown in the
graph below.
As shown, the CVYSC can identify growth over
the next several years based on trends within our club. There has been
no reason to believe this trend will discontinue when considering the growth
of the community as a whole.
3v3
Conestoga Valley Youth Soccer Club runs one of the largest 3v3 soccer
events in Pennsylvania. With over 239 teams in 2003 we fully expect
to have 300 teams competing for huge trophies when this tournament
kicks off in May 2004. May 22 and May 23, 2004 are the dates for this
event. We will be playing Girls on Saturday May 22, 2004 from 8:00
AM to 6:00 PM and Boys on Sunday May 23, 2004 from 8:00 AM to 6:00
PM. The event is open to ages 6-16 and we offer divisions for competitive
teams and recreational teams.
Our Mission
As an instructional program, the Conestoga Valley Youth Soccer Club exists
to instill a love of the game of soccer among all youth residing in
the Conestoga Valley School District.
