As an instructional program, the Conestoga Valley Youth Soccer Club exists to instill a love of the game of soccer among all youth residing in the Conestoga Valley School District. To fulfill its mission the club will:
  • Provide a safe, positive social experience for all youth.
  • Teach the fundamentals of soccer at all age levels.
  • Model good sportsmanship. Provide opportunities for competitive play as players progress to older age levels.
  • Utilize the talents and commitment of adult volunteers.
  • Operate within the rules and guidelines of the United States Soccer Federation, Inc. and the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association.

CVYSC travel soccer tryouts registration is now open for the Fall 2014/Spring 2015 travel soccer season.  

Girls Tryout (U9 - U16):  Monday, 4/21 and Wednesday, 4/23

Boys Tryout(U9 - U16 except U13):  Tuesday, 4/22 and Thursday, 4/24 
(Please note: U13 Boys tryouts will be Wednesday, 4/16 and Thursday, 4/17)

Arrival/Check-in: 5:30 PM
Group warmup: 5:45 PM
Evaluations: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

You must register via the CVYSC website to participate in the tryout. There is no fee to tryout.

All participants must:
  • Wear a shirt with a number on the back (No premiere/travel soccer jerseys)
  • Wear shinguards (cleats are preferred)
  • Bring your own soccer ball
  • Bring a water bottle
It is strongly recommended that players who tryout attend BOTH nights of tryouts.

The 2014 CV Soccer School is scheduled to take place Monday, June 9th - Thursday, June 12th from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm at the CV soccer fields. This camp, designed for both boys and girls ages 5 - 14,  has become a youth player favorite. It is designed to challenge campers in the 4 areas of the game: Technical,  Tactical,  Physical, and Mental.

Cost for the camp is $100.  If you register before May 25th, you get a $20 early bird discount.

All campers should bring their own soccer ball to each session, water bottle, shin guards and cleats or sneakers.

2014 CV Soccer School Staff

David Hartlaub - Director

Coach Hartlaub became the head coach at Conestoga Valley High School in 2000. Coach Hartlaub has earned the top education diploma from the NSCAA and is now an educational instructor for the NSCAA. The boys team is coming off its most decorated season in school history claiming a 6th consecutive section title, runner–up in the LL League tournament, crowned District 3 AAA champions, and placed second in the PIAA AAA State finals.

Associate Directors

Keith Nagley:
Coach Nagley has been named the 4th coach in CV girls soccer history. He comes to CV with a strong resume that was built at LL league rival Hempfield. He guided the Black Knights to a district championship, two trips to the state finals, 4 LL League titles and 5 section I titles in his 10 year career.

Rachel Loya:
Coach Loya has been a member of the Conestoga Valley girls coaching staff for the past 2 years. Many years experience working soccer camps including CVSS. She played at the college level for Division III national powerhouse Messiah.

Todd Scheetz:
Coach Scheetz has been a member of the Conestoga Valley boys coaching staff for the past seven seasons. Todd brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to the camp. His career is teaching elementary age students at Fritz Elementary.

CV Players:
A number of current and past players from the boys and girls programs will be working with our youth to promote, educate, and instill a love and passion for the game soccer. Don’t miss out on meeting players who grew up in your area who are now playing at the next level or who have just finished a great career in high school playing in the state tournament.
